The Gran Nain is a durable Cavendish Group cultivar. It grows to 8 feet and produces a deliciously sweet, large bunch (up to 50 lbs.) of 7 inch bananas. The Gran Nain is also known as the Chiquita banana variety. This hardy plant is resistant to most fungi and decay. The Gran Nain prefers partial to full sun and rich moist fertile soil. Fertilize heavily during the warm months with 4-6-8 Citrus Granular. Fertilize monthly. |
