The pretty flowers of the Strawberry-tree look just like strawberry blooms. They produce hundreds of bright red edible berries. The fruit is a half inch in diameter and has a smooth, sweet buttery flavor. This fast growing trees reaches 15 feet by 10 feet. It has a graceful weeping growth habit and very soft small leaves. It prefers partial shade to full sun and plenty of water. This tree can be planted in the ground in zone 9b or higher. |
